This project, located in Footscray, involved the conversion of a former 1950’s nurse’s hostel in cream brick to a new centre for families who are having difficulties with new babies to live in a homely atmosphere while

learning new baby care techniques. A dramatic use of building shapes and colours produced a new building feel whilst retaining much of the older building.

It involves live in accommodation for whole families as well as a day stay program.
